Your wedding day is going to be one of the biggest and most important days of your life. No doubt you want to make sure that you preserve those memories of your ceremony and reception forever. Having quality pictures done of your wedding is very important so you want to be sure that you pick out a photographer that will do an excellent job on your pictures. When hiring a wedding photographer you want to make sure that they will get the job done right and that you will get beautiful pictures that will help you remember your wedding ceremony forever. The following are a few important questions that you need to ask when you are hiring a photographer for your nuptials.

Question #1 – Do You Have Previous Work I Can See? – It is important that you ask to see some previous work. If the photographer does not have any, this probably means that they have no experience and you will not want them doing your wedding pictures. When you look at their previous work, make sure that you see if their style is comparable to yours so you are sure to get the photos that you want.

Question #2 – Are You a Certified Professional Photographer? – You also need to be sure that you ask the photographer if they are a certified professional photographer. Most photographers are not professionally certified.  In fact, only about 6% of so called “professional” photographers are actually certified.

Question #3 – Do You Have Backup Equipment? – Ask your photographer if they have backup equipment in case of equipment failure.  It happens.  Stuff breaks.  But the last thing you need on your wedding day is for the photographer’s camera or lighting equipment to malfunction and they miss the shot.  Insist they have backup gear or go find a different photographer that does.

Question #4 – When Will I Receive My Pictures? – It is also very important that you ask when you will receive your pictures. You do not want to have to wait for months to get your pictures back so ask that an exact date be included in the contract. This way you are sure to get your wedding ceremony and reception pictures within a reasonable time period so you can start enjoying them.

Question #5 – Do You Do Videography? – Some brides and grooms want video as well as pictures done at the wedding ceremony. While some photographers may be able to provide you video, others may not offer this service. If they do, ask to see some footage. Do they edit professionally, or is it choppy and hard to hear or follow? Make sure that you find out about this before you sign a contract so you know whether or not you will need to hire a separate videographer for your wedding.

Finally, asking the right questions can help you make sure that you hire the right photographer. You want to ensure that you pick a photographer that will do a great job on your wedding photos, so be sure that you ask questions before you sign a contract with a wedding photographer.

Professional Baby Photographers

Wedding photography is a very high pressure and stressful type of photography. While other types of photography can be more difficult, with a wedding there is only a single opportunity to get the shot right. The bride and groom will be very emotionally invested in the quality of the photos, which means that a very careful and professional approach is required.

Here are several useful tips that can help the wedding photographer:

Communication

A major aspect of wedding photography is to communicate with the bride and groom and fully appreciate their requirements. By discussing the requirements ahead of time it is possible to find out what the couple expects from the photos, and also lets the photographer give guidance on what they are able to deliver.

Scout the location

To be better prepared for the wedding day it certainly helps for the photographer to scout the location of the ceremony and reception. It can benefit to visit the location at a similar time to when the wedding is taking place to get a full appreciation of the lighting. Taking several test shots can also help to understand the picture quality and find the best places to take the shots. If there are any potential problems, they can usually be solved before the wedding day.

Also, learn the location rules. For instance, there are many churches that forbid the use of flash photography while the ceremony is taking place.

Create a shot list

A well-planned shot list is certain to make sure the wedding photography goes as smoothly as possible. The shot list is a great reference for the ceremony or reception to avoid forgetting any key shots during a very hectic schedule. This list can be referred to the couple to ensure it fully matches their specific needs.

Carry extra equipment

It is possible to avoid issues with equipment failure by packing the extra camera, cards and batteries. It is useful to take at least two cameras and multiple memory cards for the wedding shots. It could be a complete disaster if any piece of equipment fails at a wedding because there would not be time to run out and replace it.

Make use of an assistant

An assistant to help with the wedding photography can be helpful for a variety reasons, including the ability to lessen the chance of missing important shots and to gather family members together when it comes to posing in the group shots.

Photographer For Events

You are a wedding photographer or looking at becoming one in the near future. You have grasped the technical side of photography and how important lighting is when shooting a wedding. Another component of photography is the addition of filters on the body of the camera and the inclusion of them when post editing.

Filters have been around for some time now before the introduction of software such as Photoshop and Lightroom. Filters are designed to blur, sharpen images and can also be used as a blockout for UV rays from the sun.

The addition of filters is used for creating soft blurs, changing colour contrasts, making the photo images look rustic or even the grunge look. Manipulating images to make them look more suttle to the human eye is very appealing.

When shooting wedding photography on location in the direction of Sun you require filters such as UV protector to block and guard against the harmful suns rays. The inclusion of a polarizer is necessary when shooting in direct sunlight. This will allow for a balanced image as opposed to an overexposed photo.

New technology such as Photoshop and Lightroom has made it very accessible for the photographer to manipulate images from the office room. The wide array of filter functions available has made it possible to increase creativity and make wedding photography a brilliant art.

Photography is an art and has been around for generations. The inclusion of filters on the camera and also software applications can create a photograph that is perfect to the human eye.

There are many filters that have been developed for specific purposes such as colour dampening, enhancing richer colours, correction filters, blurring etc. The key to photography is understanding what filter you require for the particular shoot you are on.

A good starting point is to have a UV filter on you at all times when shooting wedding photography. Whether you are a professional or an amateur make sure you know that lighting is crucial and the addition of filters are used of creation, balancing and protection from the suns rays.
